Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine life without AI models. Students use them to answer homework questions, others to clarify tax returns. I have used AI in a different way: to predict the future prices of cryptocurrencies. But which model was most accurate in predicting the market?

AI models I used
For this research, I used several AI models: Grok AI, ChatGTP and Microsoft Copilot. Grok AI was developed by xAI, Elon Musk’s company, and is widely used in X (formerly Twitter). The bot is known for its cheeky and quirky style and also has real-time access to messages on the X platform.
ChatGTP is one of the best-known AI chatbots and was created by OpenAI. This model is versatile and can be used for many tasks, such as programming assistance and crypto-analysis. Finally, we have Microsoft Copilot, which uses OpenAI’s technology. The bot can be used in Bing and Office, and is particularly useful for data analysis and financial forecasting. And let’s face it, we need the latter.
Bitcoin prediction
To generate a bitcoin prediction, I asked each AI bot the same question a week in advance: what is your prediction for the Bitcoin end price on February 26, 2025. I received the following answers from the AI bots:
- Grok AI: I predict a price of $100,000 for February 26, 2025. It’s a nice, round number and fits the current vibe of consolidation with a touch of optimism.
- ChatGTP: My prediction for the Bitcoin end price on February 26, 2025 is $97,250. Let’s see how close I am.
- Microsoft Copilot: Based on the most recent analyses and predictions, I would say that the price of Bitcoin on February 26, 2025 could be around $110,000.
Despite the fact that there were only seven days between the prediction and the actual bitcoin (BTC) price on February 26, all AI bots were way off the mark. The final price was $84,212, but even the most accurate prediction, that of ChatGPT, was still $13,038 off.
XRP and SOL predictions
In addition to the bitcoin prediction, I also asked the AI bot to predict Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL): what is your prediction for the final price of XRP and SOL on February 26, 2025? The following answers were given by the AI bots:
- Grok AI: $2.75 for XRP as the final price, and I predict that the final price for SOL will be $180.
- ChatGTP: based on recent analyses and market trends, I expect a price of around $2.70 for XRP. For SOL, the price will be around $189.43.
- Microsoft Copilot: based on recent analyses and predictions, I would expect an XRP price of around $3.30. For SOL, this will be around $187.43.
Here too, the AI bots were way off the mark due to the recent crashes of Bitcoin and altcoins. The final price of XRP was $2.19, while the final price of SOL was $135.24. ChatGPT was the most accurate in predicting the price of XRP, while Grok AI surprisingly made the best estimate for SOL.
ChatGTP best AI model
ChatGPT came out on top in the predictions, followed by Grok AI and then Microsoft Copilot. Although ChatGPT gave the most accurate estimates, the deviations were still significant, which shows how difficult it is to correctly predict the crypto market. It is therefore always important to do your research before investing.
